you are enough, now
December 2025
I want you to know that you are enough, right now. Exactly as you are. Wherever you are in your life, I want you to know that you are enough. You are more than enough, just as you are, simply because you exist. You don’t need to do more, you don’t need to be more, or achieve more. Right now, you are already enough.
This feeling of being enough has been a relevant topic in my life lately, and I’ve been sitting with what it truly feels like to know that everything about who I am now is actually enough, as is. Since this realization I’ve been feeling grounded, I don’t feel pressured to change something about myself or my life. Instead, there is this ease in my mind, my body, in my day to day life. Like taking a deep, slow exhale, a long breath out. I am realizing there is nothing more to do in terms of becoming worthy. We are all worthy of living our most beautiful lives simply because we were born.
If I try to define what “enough” even means in this context, I don’t know that I can really come up with an answer. It’s more of an idea, like perfection, it doesn’t actually exist in the way we’re taught it does, and it certainly doesn’t look the same for every person. So much time is spent trying to become a version of ourselves that is better, smarter, prettier, more accomplished, and we don’t even have a true vision of what that end goal even looks like. And most of the time we aren’t even the ones defining what being enough means for ourselves.
There is this idea that once we hit a milestone, once we change something about our appearance, once we get another degree or achieve something impressive, something more, only then will we be enough or be worthy of whatever it is we desire in life. But this is not true. We are worthy, now.
Speaking from experience, I feel like often times we block our own blessings from coming to us because we don’t feel like we deserve them, or we feel like we haven’t worked hard enough to receive them yet so therefore we’re not worthy of experiencing that dream or that desire. We may not even be aware that we think or feel this way but if that is what’s on repeat in our subconscious, then we are unintentionally creating these mental roadblocks that can keep our blessings from coming to us in full. It absolutely is a good thing to have goals or things that we want to achieve in life, but when we keep moving the goalpost further and further away and equate accomplishments with enoughness or worthiness, then I think that’s when self sabotage can happen.
There are countless influences all around us (ads, friends, family, media, our own life experiences) there are so many external voices teaching us that we aren’t enough yet and that there is always something that could be improved. Again always pushing that goalpost further and further away, and it's a trap really. Because if we keep believing we always need to “improve” or change something, when will we cross the finish line? I thought the last thing I changed would make me enough, but now there’s something else to chase, the cycle continues, and it's a game we can’t win. The sooner we can identify this cycle and understand that we actually get to decide that we are enough already and that we don’t need to wait for permission or for someone else to tell us this, the sooner we can begin to feel at peace as we are, and live our lives freely.
There are dreams that I have that I used to say were goals for “down the line” or for when I had more experience, and I would tell myself these things couldn’t happen yet for one reason or another. I assigned a story that prolonged the dreams from materializing, but at their core, these stories came from a belief of not being something enough yet, good enough, smart enough, I told myself I wasn’t ready for one reason or another. I kept pushing these dreams to the side, like eventually I’ll try to make it happen, but who I am now can’t have that, but one day it’ll be possible. It wasn’t until recently that I’ve been addressing that subconscious belief of not being enough, and I’ve begun unpacking all the ways this belief has kept me going in circles mentally for a very long time, and I didn’t even see it.
In many ways I believe not feeling enough goes hand in hand with feelings of guilt, or shame, feeling embarrassed or apologetic about our truth, our past or our identity. These are heavy feelings to carry in our minds and in our bodies, and they overpower any ability to feel fully worthy in our lives. If we are living with these feelings, there is so much power in acknowledging them, and lovingly telling ourselves that regardless of what we’ve been through or what story we’ve been identifying with, none of that defines us and none of that has anything to do with our inherent worthiness, past, present and future. Just because we didn’t feel deserving or capable in the past, doesn’t mean we have to feel that way forever.
When we move through life feeling unworthy or not good enough, whatever that means to us, we can only live so much. It puts a cap or a limit on what we can experience, what we are able to manifest and sustain, and it keeps us feeling small and stops us from shining our brightest.
One of the most exhausting things we can do is try to convince someone else of our worthiness. This mentality of “if I change, if I do more, if I am better, then this person will see me, respect me, love me.” But it is never our job to convince someone that we are enough. If there is a relationship of any kind where someone tells you you’re not enough or makes you feel small or undeserving of love, it is most likely a reflection of how they feel about themselves, and we don’t need to waste our time and energy trying to make someone see us and tell us we are valuable. That is not our responsibility. When our feelings of worthiness depend on what others tell us, then they have all the power to dictate our self esteem and our happiness. We are the only ones who get to decide that we are enough, we are lovable, we are worthy. And that may be the complete opposite of what you've experienced or been taught, I think that might be the case for a lot of us and that’s okay, but you deserve to reclaim that power now and take this new mentality with you moving forward in life.
There is no need to compare our looks, achievements, relationships, homes, anything, to other people. We do not need to search externally for the blueprint of what it would mean to be enough. Just the fact that you exist, you are enough. We are all constantly growing and evolving as people, and I think it is completely normal to make changes in our lives when we want to, not because we are told we have to or because other people are doing something. We get to decide what “enough” looks like for ourselves. That ability is not in anyone else’s hands but our own. No one else gets to have that power.
I believe that simply deciding, I am enough, now, takes away the pressure and anxiety of always striving for the next “enhancement” or “improvement,” and it opens the door to feeling limitless and completely capable of achieving anything I want. When we do this we give ourselves the space to slow down, take a breath and start to live a more present, gentle, authentic life. We can just be. We deserve to just be.
You are allowed to put down the load, however big or small. I believe in self improvement, self discovery, personal growth, all of these things are wonderful, but I am understanding more and more that who I used to be, who I am now and who I will be in the future, every version of myself is equally deserving and worthy of living in my highest timeline. Regardless of whatever else I do or become throughout my life, I am still complete right now, in this moment. Our enoughness doesn’t fluctuate, it is always at its highest, and that will never change.
